Seamor ROV

The STEELHEAD inspection-class ROV is a portable, lightweight and stable underwater system that is easily operated through intuitive flight controls. A small profile allows this vehicle to inspect confined spaces and be easily stowed. The compact STEELHEAD is easily deployed and recovered from small vessels and docks–no need for hoists or cranes. A Standard definition NTSC/PAL output camera with minimum light sensitivity of 1.5 lux provides the ROV operator high quality video in low-light conditions.“Out of the Box” features include an integrated controller and LCD monitor module that contains Auto Depth, Auto Heading, a Digital Video Recorder and much more. Shipped in rugged and portable Pelican cases, this versatile system has a standard depth rating of 1,000ft/300m and minimal ship/shore power requirements.

The CHINOOK is an industrial grade inspection ROV with a wide range of capabilities. Explore the depths down to 1,000ft/300m with the standard vehicle or 2,000ft/600m with the deep water version. A true workhorse, the CHINOOK offers a stable platform yet remains compact. With its small profile, the CHINOOK can operate in tight places and is easily stowed when not in use. Multiple handles and frame cross members allow 2 people to handle this ROV with ease. This new vehicle also offers improved water flow through the vehicle compared with previous versions for a clean and efficient system.  For greater versatility, customize your CHINOOK by adding accessories such as extra thrusters, navigational and searching aids, manipulators, tool skids, and more. A large number of mounting points creates endless possibilities for accessory configurations. The base vehicle comes with a standard definition NTSC/PAL output camera with a minimum light sensitivity of 1.5 lux.

An easily-installed and respositionable full standard definition colour or black and white camera opens up a world of new possibilities for ROV pilots. The Auxiliary Camera produced by SEAMOR Marine features a top-of-the-line full resolution NTSC or PAL camera. This camera has been designed with integrated neutral-white LED lighting, which further enhances the camera’s fine sensitivity. This light weight camera (175 grams in the air, 80 grams in water) is equipped with industry sub-sea standard connectors that make it compatible with any SEAMOR ROV, or as a stand alone camera. These cameras can also be used with other ROVs, or mounted onto a divers’ helmet if needed.

SEAMOR ROVs are constructed around an open framework that permits for added modules to be incorporated by our design and production teams.  Our tethers are also able to support additional communication and power channels to enable add-ons such as additional cameras, lights, sonars, or other customer-requested equipment on-board.

The SEAMOR 7 Function Hydraulic Articulating Robotic Manipulator is one of the smallest skid-mounted hydraulic manipulator on the market today. Intuitive programmable position controls and a dedicated gripper camera make the operation of this manipulator easy, regardless of the operator’s skill level. The 7 Function Hydraulic ARM was specifically designed for our inspection-class ROVs and can be retrofitted to most similar systems on the market.

SEAMOR Marine manufactures its portable tether management reels from high grade aluminum and stainless steel.  Each reel is housed in a Pelican case for ease of transport and storage with the reel being easily removed for deck-mounting.

A lightweight, compact option for any SEAMOR ROV, the SEAMOR Manual Reel can be customized to accommodate a wide range of tether configurations and lengths.

In addition, a Manual Level-Wind assist feature is also available as an option for your Tether Management/Storage system.

Dual Function Gripper

Enhance the capabilities of your ROV with the addition of a SEAMOR Dual Function Gripper.

With the Gripper strategically mounted in view of the ROVs on-board camera the pilot can easily maneuver into a pick up position to retrieve objects up to 3 1/2 in diameter.

The 360 degree continuous wrist rotation allows the jaws to be placed in the optimum gripping position as well as turn objects for placement or to use as a winding tool.

Once the object is firmly in its grip the power of the ROV takes over to bring it directly to the surface or place it in a waiting retrieval basket.

A gripper/cutter attachment capable of cutting cut fishing line, netting and small nylon ropes to free entangled articles is also available.

Custom Rotary Brushes

Powerful rotary brushes, customized to suit your subsea requirements are available from SEAMOR Marine.  These units can be easily fitted to a Skid-mounted Accessory Platform and placed within easy viewing of the ROV camera.

Skid-Mounted Accessory Platforms

SEAMOR Marine can provide Skid-mounted Accessory platforms customized to accommodate and integrate a variety of search, navigation and inspection instrumentation or task performance tooling with your ROV.

The lightweight, cost-effective units can buoyancy corrected and be readily attached to your SEAMOR ROV.
