NANAIMO, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA, NOVEMBER 17, 2020 – The NURTC (National Underwater Recovery Training Centre) is the most advanced facility of its kind in North America. Police divers from every province across Canada will be trained using a SEAMOR Chinook ROV. The RCMP team named their Chinook “Fab” in memory of Fabrice Gevaudin, RCMP, a police diver who died in the line of duty in 2014.
