NANAIMO, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA, MARCH 16, 2023 – We are proud to welcome Mechanical Engineer Nathan Johnston to the SEAMOR Marine team! His passion for and experience in the field of robotics make him a superb addition to our incredibly talented engineering team.
Nathan graduated with his BASc. in Mechatronics Engineering from University of Waterloo then continued his studies to complete an MASc. in Mechanical and Mechatronics. Through co-op experiences, he gained insights into a wide array of robotic fields including drone applications, remote mining vehicles, off-grid power controllers, underwater laser scanners, and AUV imaging payloads.
Nathan’s first major project will be as part of the team developing the upgraded SEAMOR Powerbrush. In line with our focus on hyper-modular design, the improved Powerbrush will offer enhanced surface cleaning capabilities to our existing and future valued clients that rely on our ROVs to reliably deliver results with efficiency.
