Nanaimo, British Columbia, June 18, 2020 – How time flies! It’s now four years ago that a SEAMOR Chinook ROV was used as support during a series of archaeological dives in the Mediterranean Sea off the coasts of Sicily and Malta to explore shipwrecks for the Italian government. Deploying from a small inflatable vessel the Chinook pinpointed the location of one of the wrecks and also acted as emergency support for the UBoat Worx Submarine – for insurance purposes the Chinook needed to be on hand with a cutting attachment in case of entanglement.
