SEAMOR Marine was selected to be a stop on the Premier of British Columbia, the Honourable Christy Clark, tour of Nanaimo yesterday.

Accompanied by the Honourable Michelle Stilwell, MLA (Parksville-Qualicum) and multiple-time gold medal Paralympian, and Paris Gaudet, Executive Director for Innovation Island, Premier Clark toured our Nanaimo, British Columbia facility.

We were pleased to showcase our newest underwater remotely operated vehicle technology. The Engineering team explained all the work that goes into designing these vehicles, then the Production team described how the ROVs are assembled in-house in the SEAMOR production facility. Finally, our special guests were given the opportunity to fly a Steelhead ROV in our test tank.

We are proud to be based in British Columbia, and are grateful for the opportunities and support that come from living and working in this beautiful province.

Dr. Chris Parker, Lead Engineer, describes how the controller is used to navigate the ROV to Premier Christy Clark.

In our Production Facility, Mike McLean, Electronic Technologist, shows the intricate assembly required for SEAMOR ROVs.

MLA Michelle Stilwell and Paris Gaudet (Innovation Island) fly a Steelhead, while Operations Manager, Roy Coles, shows Premier Clark the ROV from above the test tank.
