JORDAN RIVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA, JANUARY 12, 2022 – Last month, BC Hydro welcomed a new member to their Jordan River crew — a brand new SEAMOR Steelhead ROV! Their new Steelhead system is being deployed to conduct trash rack and gate inspections, allowing BC Hydro to monitor integral machinery used to screen the intake water for debris and protect expensive equipment from getting damaged. But don’t clock this Steelhead out yet, it’s also being implemented to help hydro engineers carefully monitor silt levels and carry out general safety inspections. Talk about a workhorse!
